We could have called this tour The Best of Both Worlds, as it will; during half of the day, allow you and your family to discover the essential that Paris has to offer, as well as a guided tour of the extravagant and beautiful Versailles Palace.

Depending on where your interests are we can take in such ‘classics’, as the Eiffel Tower, surely the most recognised symbol of our capital, dominating the left-bank of the River Seine. Staying on the left bank you can pass through the St Michel and Latin quarters, leading eventually to Notre Dame Church.

To the other side of the river, you may want to take photos around The Arc de Triomphe, Napoleon’s edifice to his glory, dominating the skyline and starting point to 12 iconic avenues, most notably of which being the illustrious Champs Elysées. Not far from here you can admire the Place de La Concorde, Tuileries Gardens, where Louis X1V would have strolled when his palace was the Louvre, now a world-famous museum.

In this same quarter, you can take in such wonderful sites such as Place Vendome, Madeleine church and the Opera Garnier, as with the other places you see your guide will be delighted to add some historical flesh to these imposing structures.

Depending on what time-slot we have (morning or afternoon), your driver-guide will take to the Versailles Palace, famous for being the last ‘residence’ of Louis XV1 and Marie-Antionette. Built by Louis X1V, in part by jealousy of Nicolas Foucquet’s Vaux-le-Vicomte and part to get away from the city and its habitants, Versailles Palace has a unique place in French history.

Your experienced guide will be able to paint a picture of what is what like during this crucial period of Pre-Revolutionary France. Whether it’s the Hall of Mirrors, the Royal Chapel, Royal Opera or the State Appartements, you will be fascinated by this visit. From April to October, almost every day, you will be able to visit the magnificent gardens and enjoy the Musical Fountains Show.
