Your personal driver-guide will pick you up at your hotel and drive you the 225 miles of beautiful landscape that separate Paris and the Mont Saint Michel.

Once arrived near Mont St Michel you will begin to notice the shape of a tower in the heart of an immense bay. The site is subject to some of the most fluctuating high and low tides in Europe, varying up to 46 feet.

Originally called Mont Tombe, in the early 8th century it was renamed Mont St Michel after, according to legend; the Bishop Saint Aubert of Avranches received the order in his sleep three times from Saint Michel to erect an oratory on the mount in his name.

Your guide will accompany you to the abbey and give you a comprehensive guided visit of this magnificent compound, with 3 million visitors each year it’s one of the most frequented sites in France. You will see the church, its romanesque style nave and gothic style chancel, imagine the peaceful life of the monks strolling through the delicate cloister and refectory.

After the end of the visit, the guide will give you free time for lunch and walk through the narrow streets of the island, walking down the Grande Rue admiring its museums, shops and houses dating from the 15th and 16th centuries You will meet again at 15:00 at the main gate and go back to the car together.
