This classic gourmet tour will include a variety of tastings of the most iconic French products, as well as learning about the numerous places of historical and cultural significance, the guide will do the maximum to fit in as much as possible, and even adapt he tour to any specific needs that you may amongst those may be included the following:

The Pantheon, the mausoleum dedicated to the great men and women of the French Republic, you can discover very close by the church St Etienne du Mont. Situated in the same area are the magnificent Luxembourg Gardens, while strolling the gardens you will see, amongst other pieces of interest, Bartholdi’s original smaller version of the Statue of Liberty.

The St Germain des Près area, once a hub for the creative and intellectual elite, where you can find world-famous cafés such as ‘Café Flore’ and the ‘Café des 2 Magots’, the old stamping ground for many famous artists and writers. Indeed, this is where Hemingway (who was known to drink other stuff than coffee!) wrote ‘Farewell To Arms’.

You may have a look at the St Germain des Près church before seeing what some cite as being the oldest existing café in Paris, the Procope, originally opened in 1686, it knew a brief hiatus between the late 19th and early 20th century. Sit where other ‘famous’ customers have sat and contemplated life and other things, names such as Voltaire, Bonaparte, Danton, Benjamin Franklin or Oscar Wilde. Behind the café you could discover an alley infamously known for where the original guillotine was tried out on unknowing sheep!

You will be delighted to have discovered this area of Paris, all while tasting the best of its culinary traditions.
